A Tiny Little Thing
For my birthday this year, I decided to make myself a tiny little thing.
I had a gathering at our new house. I knew as the night wore on we'd be sitting around the fire, and the temperature would slowly drop. I idle at chilly, so on chilly nights I'm bordering on freezing. I knew I'd be layered, maybe even be wearing a scarf of some sort.
I also knew my hands would be cold holding my beer. And not drinking a beer was simply not an option.
So, I corrected the problem before it became one.
I made this in a day with some leftover sock yarn. The pattern I have is for a 22oz bottle on DK yarn. Decreasing the weight to sock made it perfect for a 16 oz bottle.
I also changed the cast on. The pattern called for a provisional cast on that would have to be sewn closed later. I stole the cast on method for a wine bottle cozy and increased until I had the correct number.
Must be something about covers for alcohol.
Michael absolutely needed to have one as well, of course.
Just in time for the colder weather. Now we can drink in comfort.
Priorities.
