Everyone Needs a Fancy Dress

A few weeks ago I was asked to make a doggy dress.  Something pretty and feminine, but not too frilly or over-the-top. 

I immediately thought of the Little Black Dress Dog Sweater.  I've made this before for a tiny little teacup Maltese, so it was going to take some modifications to size it properly for it's much larger recipient.

I happen to have a dog approximately the same size, so having a live-in model was quite helpful.  Of course, my dog thought the sweater dress was some sort of medieval punishment and sulked for days after his fitting.

Luckily, when the sweater dress made it's way to the proper pup, it was received far more warmly.

Seva seems to like her new outerwear, and it looks lovely on her.
